Frugal Tips for Fish Patties

Look for fish that is on sale, any kind will make a good fish patty. Don’t forget to look for canned salmon on sale for the best fish patties! You can also freeze them to eat for later. Just reheat in the oven!

*All of my dinner recipes can be used with dairy or made into dairy free recipe versions. I have a milk allergy while my husband does not so I often try to make recipes in which substitions can be made either way. My dinner recipes are also made to be as frugal as possible.

Gather It Up!

1 fish of any kind, or one can of salmon, or two cans of tuna
1/2-1 cup of dried bread crumbs
1 tblsp mustard
1/8 cup chopped carrots
1/8 cup chopped onion
1/8 cup chopped celery
2 tbsp italian dressing

Cook It Up!

Mix everything together. Add more breadcrumbs if it is too wet or more italian dressing if too dry. Fry in a small amount of oil on the stove until crispy.

Serve It Up!

These are great with butter noodles or macaroni and cheese or for a healthier meal add a salad!
